League Rules

The following 641 League rules were discussed at the 641 League meeting on February 20, 2010.

·        Substitutions (per FIFA LOTG) League members please emphasize the following.
o       Substitutes need to line up at the halfway line. The host club should paint a box or place a flag to mark the location.
o       Substitutions may be allowed, for either team, just before a goal kick, after a goal has been scored, during an injury, at half time, and before a throw in. But, for a throw in, only the team in possession of the ball can stop play for the substitution.
o       We will now require a player to be substituted if he earns a yellow card. When play is stopped for this procedure, either team can substitute, as long as the subs are ready at the designated location at the halfway line. (Additional 641 League rule)

·        Parents and Spectators (per FIFA LOTG) League members please emphasize the following.
o       Clubs must try to keep spectators at least a yard off the touch line (sideline).
o       All spectators must be on the opposite side of the field from the players.
o       No spectators are allowed on the ends of the field or behind the goal.

·        Yellow Card (Additional 641 League rule)
o       When a player is cautioned and shown a yellow card by a referee, he/she must leave the field of play and be substituted. He/she may return to play at the next opportunity for substitution. [The purpose of this procedure is to allow the player to “cool down” and reflect on the violation, and to allow the coach to talk with the player.]

 641 League Spring Tournament

Tournament to be held in Oskaloosa (MCSC) on June 5th, 2010.
