Player Development
Starting September 13, Mahaska County Soccer Club along with WPU Men’s and Women’s Soccer Programs will be starting to work closely with all U8 Rec teams one day a week doing player development. U8 is the right age to start working on technique with each of the youth soccer players. Tuesday night from 5:30-6:30 at the WPU Game Field we will spending an hour with each of the U8 players. All U8 boys and girls should show up at the WPU Game Field. We will be splitting each of the teams into several different groups so they will have more one on one attention.

Coaches, please pass this on to each of your parents. Coaches are welcome to attend but the WPU Coaching staff and players will run the practice.
Example of schedule:
15 min. warm-up activities
25 min. technique
1)Dribbling
2) Passing
20 min Teaching in the game
1) Short Sided games
